Services & Techniques
Patients benefit from any or a combination of the following services: Acupuncture, Massage Therapy and Reiki. My approach is to use massage before and/or after the acupuncture treatment, when indicated, to maximize treatment benefits.
Acupuncture treatments may include needling, cupping, electric stimulation, moxibustion, far-infra-red heat lamps.
Massage ranges from lighter, more subtle techniques to deeper, structural techniques: Relaxation massage, lymphatic drainage, cranio-sacral therapy techniques, orthopaedic (sports) massage, Tuina (Chinese medical massage), deep-tissue massage, structural integration.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient chinese technique of inserting needles into the body to achieve a therapeutic effect.
E-Stim Acupuncture
E-Stim is the use of electricity with acupuncture needles. It has been used during open heart and brain surgeries as anesthesia when it is necessary to keep the patients conscious. It is very effective and reducing pain and increasing circulation to areas that need it.
Massage Therapy
The manual manipulation of the tissues of the body to achieve therapeutic or relaxing effect.

Reiki
Reiki is an energetic therapy. It requires little to no touch and is very good for calming the nervous system and reducing stress responses in the body.
Cupping
Cupping is the therapeutic placement of cups with suction on the skin to increase circulation and reduce internal pressure or compression. Cupping has been shown to reduce recovery time after work outs and to reduce pain medication necessary in patients with chronic pain.
